MY 21st
Sunday, January 27, 2008

I can be so accommodating and demanding at the same time, just because it's MY BIRTHDAY!

I want 21 candles on my cake so I looked at the nice auntie, smiled, "Can I have like 21 candles please?" The auntie was in a 0-degree annoyance even asked, "Can......Big or small?" She even threw in a few more candles and 2 big ones in case I get fickle-minded while lighting the candles.

With all the unnecessary worries, everything went more than just well yesterday. My friends are always so self-entertaining, which I do hope that I didn't isolate anyone.

Thanks people for the attendance. It's so fun. Planning. Purchasing. Pre-decorating. Invitation. Cake selection. Decorating. Saying "Hi". Being wished "Happy Birthday". Receiving gifts. Chatting. Cutting cake (which I somehow think that muz blow out candles then take pictures). Bidding byes. Having my 2nd round of cutting (apple pie baked by Azhar, it's nice). Open gifts ceremony. Thanks for all the help.

Now let me show-off some of the on-time gifts. I know I'll get some belated ones soon.

The Australia handmade gifts feel. Always get things from Aust by Nette.

The me-so-materialistic feel. I got quite a lot of accessories uh...Big storage problem.

The sweet-smelling feel. As big storage problem. I somehow believe that my perfume have the ability to refill themselves. Never manage to finish a bottle yet.

The knowledgeable feel. Definitely not much of storage problem. Soon I can have a mini-library.

Bags. I need not buy any bags for the rest of the year. Promise. Bigger storage problem.

The I'm-still-a-kid feel. I need someone to convince me that it's a bear, please. I being told and insisted that it's a bear when it really looks like the 2terapins in my house. Just that this is very very very much bigger. Biggest storage problem.
My sis got me the cap. Cool uh.

Conclusion:

Meow is satisfied, very much more than just happy, pampered, smiling and now maybe to start indoctricating herself to mug.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MYSELF!!!

The worst thing that can happen to me is being hit by a flu bug, especially when it's only 3 days away. Smack that bug.

A week to look forward to. Am I looking forward? Scary. So many what-ifs pop into my mind. So many times I checked the To-Do list yet feel something's missing. But then again, I'm trying to look forward to this weekend. Still Scary.

When an entire day of supposedly-to-be-ordinary changes just because I say, "Ya, I'm available, I should be able to help."

I ended up:
-with a group of Japanese High School students who can't speak English and ME who can't speak Jap.
-bringing them to some historical trails like as if when I was in Primary 5. Arab Street and Bugis.
-walking under the (superb) scorching sun with them.
-knowing their fetish for 7-ll and shopping, esp air-conditioned places.
-eating at the food court at Bugis Village where the food tasted eeeee.
-with such a day that I feel out-of-my-mind. But it was rather fun. Hahahaaha

My Weekend
Sunday, January 13, 2008

Weekend is well-spent when I'm pampered and satisfied. Absolutely.

Movie --- I Am Legend isn't that bad afterall. Will Smith always have some quotes thingy in his shows. Previously was "There's no 'y' in happiness." Now it's "Light up the darkness." Maybe next, it'll be "Fill the emptyness."

Novel --- Nineteen minutes. Simply got it off the shelf. Taking it as a compliment when being told, "That's one thing I lost to you." Ha, I read a lot (just not notes and textbooks).

Ice cream --- Ben and Jerry's @The Cathay and watching Boiling Point in the cafe. So annoyingly funny.

Tutorial --- At least one is down.
Assignments --- Still see them waving at me despite shutting them in the file.

Chill
Friday, January 11, 2008

Over the two weeks, I got a dress, a pair of jeans, a pair of flats and a handbag (the type which you can't stuff more than wallet and phone and maybe another item). May need another dress and a bag (school-purpose) and heels. The feeling of not having to work is rather good --- the off-routine schedule and no need to entertain people who I don't feel like doing so and being able to chill and whatever else...

I always feel blessed to have my family and friends. If there's anything in fate which I believe in, it'll be these two.

Strangers along the street whom you've perhaps seen become some of the closest people you've never dreamt of.
Strangers during the first day of school, sitting next to you became someone who can read your mind as if you were thinking aloud.
Strangers to an environment as strangers as you are said, "Hi, anybody sitting here?" became the one who opens up your social circle in the new environment.

Perhaps it's true that little acts in life make a person satisfied.

23 DAYS
Friday, January 04, 2008

The annual examination entry is a task. Have to fill forms, read what they need to bring along (which is nothing for continuing students and they'll still send the requirement to you causing unnecesary braincells usage to search and ask for letters and confirmation) and get whatever mode of payment. I just realised that my exams dates are out.

22May --- Corporate Finance
23May --- International Relations
28May --- Macroeconomics
02June --- LBO

I sweared I boarded an earlier bus this morning but still somehow late. Woke up on the bus, seeing myself at Adam Road, looked at my watch, "Uh 830, shit." During LBO I was first time so-ever lost and thought, "Gosh, what's that? So many weird stuff. What's S12xx?" I never knew that campus' food will experience price hike...That's new...obvious inflation and this weird 10%thingy for students...And the school Popular is weird...They don't display the novels or books. They keep it in the storeroom and I've to check with them to see if they actually have the novel in-store....

My head's splitting...Sleep..zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
