A Monday Morning
Tuesday, August 29, 2006

The perfect Monday morning started not so perfect afterall, of course, with the inevitable Monday-morning-blues sydrome.

My morning call @8am for breakfast @Compass Point with Azhar. What could have been more important and more enjoyable and more relaxed than having breakfast with a best friend... ... Yes, it was MY fault for not being able to hear his instructions clearly that he'll be waiting @my house carpark for me cuz I was awake with my eyes closed. So, guess what? I took a bus to CP and msg him along the way that I'd be reaching in 5min. Yup, and immediately after that msg was sent, a call was received and what followed was 3min of blaming and re-enactment and well, it ended up with it's MY fault. Ok.... Anyway, breakfast @ BK was just great. Yummy.

After that we went Cold Storage to run an errand and after making payment I actually left the carrier at the counter and only after 5steps did I realise that. What did I say? Monday-morning-blues. Let me tell you how slow my brain was functioning:
1) Make payment
2) Got the change
3) Took the first few steps while keeping the change
4) While taking another step, my brain transmitted the msg, "Something's missing. If I got change, that means I've paid for something."
5) Oh no, my carrier!!!

A series of unfortunate events literally means a series. Instead of any of us being able to be home to watch emmy, the remote thingy of his car decided to malfunction lah.... We were stuck @the carpark thinking of means and ways to "break-in" without sounding off the alarm. Imagine having a car that you can't drive. Last resort, we took a train to Hougang area to get that remote checked and battery changed. Well, anyway whose fault was it for the remote not to work? ME!!! I didn't even get the chance to defend myself and I just got that for being there.

Finally, home-sweet-home close to 11am. And he's off for his activities and I'm off for mine. Well, it was all worth the Monday-morning-blue sydrome to have so much fun.

Never Had A Dream Come True, Without You
Sunday, August 13, 2006

Caught this song on radio a moment ago...One of the best songs from SClub7...A song that is filled with some memory...How very true...Never had a dream come true, if without you...

S Club 7
Never Had A Dream Come True

Everybody's got something they had to leave behind
One regret from yesterday that just seems to grow with time
There's no use looking back or wondering
How it could or might have been
Oh this I know but still I can't find ways to let you know

I've never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be with you

Somewhere in my memory
I've lost all sense of time
And so my road can never be cos yesterday is all that fills my mind
There's no use looking back or wondering
How it could or might have been
Oh this I know but still I can't find ways to let you go

I've never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be

You'll always be the dream that fills my head
Yes you will, say you will, so you know you will
Oh baby, you'll always be the one I know I'll never forget
There's no use looking back or wondering
Because love is a strange and funny thing
No matter how I try and try I just can't say goodbye
No no no no

I've never had a dream come true
Till the day that I found you
Even though I pretend that I've moved on
You'll always be my baby
I never found the words to say (words to say)
You're the one I think about each day
And I know no matter where life takes me to
A part of me will always be
A part of me will always be with you

It's Juz Another Day
Saturday, August 12, 2006

Met Nicholas for dinner @ Lau Pa Sat some hours back and met a friend-cum-collegue of his yet a schoolmate of mine. Had a conversation about their work and currently, my school-life. After which they went back to their office to settle their work while I went off. Thought of grabbing a couple of gals out for supper and drinks and hang-around, but everyone seems so not available. It was either they were @ camp or this RAG thingy (practising that thru the night and doing make-up in the middle of the night = CRAZY!!!).

Well, anyway, I was contemplating where to roam when I decided on PS. By the time I reached there, it was like almost all the shops are closed and left with cinema, cafes, eateries and carrefour. Decided on Secret Recipes since I have never eaten there before. Thought that their cakes would be very very tasty, but it turned out otherwise. Not to the extent of inedible, just a little not the expected cake-ish feeling that I wanted and had. At least the freezy lemon boosted the meal. Sat their for about an hour before leaving for home. Everywhere was so packed, especially the trains, cuz loads and loads of people went for the firework display earlier on. It was so scary how most communters attempted to squeeze themselves into the cabin, even though they know that they might be squashed by the doors and the pain. Wonder if it will lower their life expectancy by a great deal just to get on the next train, especially those with children.

School's been fine, pretty fine, I supposed. It's a school afterall.

My First Day Of School
Wednesday, August 02, 2006

The first day of school was over. More like my first day of school though. Ya, I realised today that I am one of the minority proportion of the students who started school on a wed instead of mon or tue. I only need to attend school on wed, thur and fri (and later part of the year sat till 12noon). How should I describe about my first day of school?

I went to school with Bernice. HA! She's still as chatty as ever and cute (though she doesn't like me saying that she's cute). Instead of studying for her tests she spent more time talking to me than flipping her notes lah. That girl.

Well, I had a 3hour maths lecture on logarithm, indices and whatever in the first 2chapters of additional maths. Kinda glad that not starting with any maths "c" stuff cuz I'd then be so worried that I'll never get a chance to pass maths. (Ya, cuz for 2yrs in JC, I don rem passing any sch tests and exams relating to maths. Fs all along.) Phew!!!

Then, it was my lunch-time before my Principle of Banking and Finance. Ya, the name Principle of Banking and Finance does sound scary enough. I got a new friend to go lunch with me today lah (so Azhar, stop saying I anti-social). My maths-cum-wed-lunch friend's name is Jasmine and she was from PJC, living at CCK area and now in Dance Club or Society and is doing her driving practical too. I had seafood pasta and it was pretty decent besides the fact that I was given a suspected half-cooked prawn. $5.90.

Lastly came PBF. I saw the lecture notes and I was like what....it looks chiam. It was a little dull but overall was ok. Oh and the lecturer's pretty interesting too, otherwise lame. He was asking some silly questions to check if the class was back from break.
--- What do you put in the toaster?
--- Bread.
--- What do cows drink?
--- Milk. I was like OMG....water, people water....it was such an unanimous "milk" reply.
Then he decided to do something for the next 40sec and it's really fun. Try this.
--- First, point out your right foot and rotate it clockwise.
--- Now, point out your right index finger and write number 6 at the same time.
That caught my attention and for the subsequent 2min, I was entertaining myself with that. I think I did it. Hahahahahha....Anyway, at PBF lecture, I also got make new friend loh.

Oh and do you know that to start a bank and be called a banker, you need $8billion as capital. Sigh, now I'll never be able to own a bank nor have a bank under me....

Ok, tomorrow I've got Principle of Accounts in the morning till noon and friday Econs till noon again. Btw, I'll be working no this fri, sat, sun and mon, just this week, since there's no class on tue and wed's a public holiday. So, next week, I only got class on thu and fri. Wow!!!
